I do a little bit of a lot here: edit data projects, script videos, brainstorm headlines, and review social copy for various platforms. I’ve even written a newsletter or two.

After being promoted from news editor in 2019, I planned, assigned, and edited news, features, and videos on criminal justice, extremism, drugs, and environment. I’m especially proud that our coverage of so-called “gas station heroin” won a New York Press Club award.
2015 – 2016
Weekend editor, Business Insider
In this role, I implemented a strategy to publish 8-10 enterprise and feature stories for the top of the homepage every weekend, which increased traffic by 25%.
2013 – 2015
Reporter, Business Insider
I started my career covering policing, the death penalty, and the Supreme Court. I also still get emails from a personal essay I wrote about having sleep paralysis.
